Start by wetting both your hair and the shampoo bar.

For shorter hair, lather the shampoo bar in your hands until you have enough foam. Set the bar aside and apply the lather to your hair, massaging as you would with liquid shampoo. Rinse thoroughly and follow up with the conditioner bar.

For longer hair, ensure your hair is thoroughly wet to help create a rich lather. Glide the shampoo bar directly over your hair in downward strokes. Once you've built up enough lather, set the bar down and massage the shampoo into your hair as usual. Rinse well, repeat if needed, and then follow with the conditioner bar.
